In early 2026, the municipality of Metepec in the State of Mexico reported significant economic growth, including the creation of 5,054 new jobs and the opening of 1,355 new economic units. Metepec secured six distinctions, including distinctions during this ceremony, earning first-place honors for Municipal Normativity and the ‘Médico en tu Casa’ health program. Governor Gómez emphasized that professionalizing public servants is essential for strengthening institutions and ensuring government actions address the needs of families, proposing forums for award-winning local governments to share best practices.
