Mexican authorities have continued operations targeting the assets and personnel of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). In Tijuana, the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) re-imposed a seizure on a residence linked to Jessica Johanna Oseguera González, daughter of the cartel’s former leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as “El Mencho”. This action follows a 2023 court ruling that had previously nullified an earlier seizure of the property. The FGR maintains that the house may have been acquired through illicit proceeds. In Michoacán, federal forces including the Army and National Guard conducted raids in Tanhuato and Ecuandureo. These operations resulted in the arrest of nine CJNG members, including the daughter and partner of regional leader Heraclio Guerrero Martínez, alias “Tío Lako”. Authorities stated the operations targeted “Tío Lako” in connection to attacks against the National Guard. During the raids, security forces seized various weapons, improvised explosive devices, drugs, and 64 vehicles. In a precision operation targeting cells in the municipalities of Tanhuato and Ecuandureo, Army Special Forces and the National Guard detained nine individuals. Among those captured were Marisol “N” and Lourdes “N”, identified as the daughter and partner of Guerrero Martínez. The seizure included a significant arsenal: one .50 caliber machine gun, four Minimi machine guns, nine long weapons, one short weapon, two grenade launchers, eight improvised explosive devices, and a drone. The detainees were transported via Mexican Air Force helicopter to Mexico City to face the Attorney General's Office.
