Mexican federal and state authorities continue to implement initiatives to strengthen healthcare services and infrastructure. Infrastructure projects also include the renovation of the Vasco de Quiroga hospital in Michoacán, which is 40 percent complete following a 300 million peso investment. This renovation is expected to expand capacity with new operating rooms and a blood bank. Additional regional updates include the expansion of hemodialysis capacity in Los Cabos, where IMSS increased availability from seven to 20 spaces. In Aguascalientes, the state has received recognition for healthcare quality regarding the management of chronic wounds and complications related to diabetes and hypertension. Furthermore, IMSS conducted sensitization training for medical assistants in Oaxaca to improve service quality and teamwork. In Playa del Carmen, local authorities report a 300 percent increase in prehospital emergency services due to expanded personnel and equipment.
