The municipal food‑aid drives have continued into late July 2026, expanding the reach of the "Alimentación Imparable" program. On 21 July, Mayor Pepe Chedraui of Puebla city and the DIF Puebla Capital again distributed 4,000 free food parcels in the San Baltazar Tetela neighbourhood, while Mayor Laura Jiménez of Múzquiz, Coahuila delivered parcels to 20 families in Minas La Florida, reinforcing the regular assistance routine for rural households. A week later, on 28 July, Puebla’s DIF intensified the effort, handing out 4,418 parcels in La Resurrección and more than 8,000 parcels in the auxiliary board of Santa María Xonacatepec. The aid, aimed at children not attending school, people with disabilities, the elderly and other vulnerable groups, was highlighted by President Claudia Sheinbaum and Governor Alejandro Armenta as a coordinated federal‑state‑municipal initiative. On 26 July, the municipal government under Mayor Pepe Chedraui, directed by DIF Puebla Capital director‑general Jesús Alejandro Cortés Carrasco and patronate president MariElise Budib, delivered the same quantities—over 8,000 parcels to Santa María Xonacatepec and 4,418 parcels to La Resurrección—confirming the scale of the operation and emphasizing that the assistance is provided free of charge. These actions build on earlier distributions in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo and other Mexican municipalities, illustrating an ongoing partnership among local DIF offices, state authorities and the federal government to improve nutrition and food security for low‑income families nationwide.
