On 30 July 2026, Mexico City mayor Clara Brugada announced a Milpa Alta upgrade programme including 45 km of repaved streets, water-supply improvements, and new health facilities. During the same period, municipalities nationwide implemented various works: Puebla held a cultural weekend and book fair; Cuautla began a 112-million-peso market renovation; and San Luis Potosí’s La Virgen neighbourhood received a park and water-purification plant. In San Luis Acatlán, officials underwent damage assessment training, and in Cabo San Lucas, authorities inspected temporary shelters to ensure readiness for the rainy season. Public safety investments continued with significant technological and tactical upgrades. In Zacatecas, a joint investment exceeding 101 million pesos provided Fresnillo police with an armored vehicle, an anti-drone rifle, and an AI-equipped mobile surveillance tower. Governor David Monreal Ávila noted that homicide rates in Fresnillo dropped from 653 cases in 2021 to 11 in early 2026. In Puerto Vallarta, Mayor Luis Ernesto Munguía González delivered five new RAM-type patrol vehicles to the Municipal Police, bringing the administration’s total to 40 vehicles. Meanwhile, in Coatzacoalcos, Mayor Pedro Miguel Rosaldo García announced support for 121 schools, providing furniture, painting materials, and waterproofing assistance.
