Mexican state governors have announced large-scale infrastructure investment programs to address regional needs. In Coahuila, Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas launched the ‘En equipo le entramos’ program. This initiative involves approximately 940 million pesos for paving, potable water, drainage, educational infrastructure, and urban beautification in the Saltillo and Ramos Arizpe areas. The broader state-wide program aims to invest over 3 billion pesos across all 38 municipalities. In Zacatecas, Governor David Monreal Ávila introduced a new phase of roadwork projects for the municipalities of Sombrerete, Chalchihuites, Jiménez del Teul, and Miguel Auza. These actions, which include the rehabilitation of highways and municipal road networks, have reached over 3.2 billion pesos, with 1.7 billion pesos allocated to Sombrerete and 795 million pesos to Miguel Auza. At the municipal level, Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz has initiated the construction of a new urban park in the Hacienda de los Morales neighborhood. The 16.5 million peso project will cover over 7,400 square meters and includes a renovated multi-functional court, pedestrian walkways, playgrounds, and an outdoor gym. The project also incorporates security upgrades such as LED lighting and perimeter fencing. Concurrently, the municipal government is addressing hydraulic infrastructure in the Genaro Vázquez neighborhood through the construction of a pump station intended to mitigate severe flooding.
