Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera, a 50-year-old woman, was arrested following a confrontation at the Royal Country mobile home community in Miami-Dade County. Police reports indicate that Rivera allegedly forced her way into a neighbor’s residence to confront them regarding an alleged extramarital affair with her husband, during which she reportedly threw a bucket of human waste at the victim. Rivera reportedly told witnesses that she had defecated in the bucket specifically to throw it at the victim’s face. However, she has provided a conflicting account, claiming she was attempting to dispose of waste because her toilet was broken and that the dispute was related to odors. She also alleged that the neighbor struck her with a bat. Rivera faces charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor battery. During her arraignment, Judge Mindy Glazer described the matter as an “interesting case,” and Rivera was ordered to be held without bond.
