In Michoacán, the acting head of the State Attorney General's Office, Israel Vega Rodríguez, has announced a priority to strengthen scientific, technical, and human capacities to improve the search and identification of missing persons. During the inauguration of the ‘Human Identification Conference Cycle’ in Morelia, Vega Rodríguez emphasized that effective identification requires specialization in fields such as genetics, anthropology, dentistry, and medicine. He stressed the necessity of coordinated efforts between ministerial investigations, forensic work, and victim assistance to provide answers to families. Recent security operations in the state have yielded localized results; in Lázaro Cárdenas, three youths reported missing since July 20 were located alive in San Juan Bosco. Although found with their hands tied and eyes blindfolded, they sustained only superficial injuries. However, other incidents of violence persist, including an unidentified death in Morelia and a fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man in Apatzingán following a pursuit.
