Migrant smuggling sentencing in Croatia
Overview
A Zagreb Municipal Court sentenced a 29-year-old Moroccan national to four years in prison for his involvement in smuggling 18 migrants near Zagreb and Zaprešić in December 2024. The defendant was charged with illegal entry, movement, and stay in Croatia, as well as the coercion of an official.
