Following his departure from Rai, Milo Infante officially debuted on Mediaset on 24 August 2026. His transition involves a dual-network strategy: hosting the daily news-magazine ‘Ore 11’ on Rete 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and appearing on Canale 5 with ‘Verità Nascoste – Il Diario’ at 4:45 p.m. Regarding his move, Infante denied that the transition was motivated by financial negotiations, stating his previous salary was in line with director-level standards. Initial viewership data indicates ‘Ore 11’ captured a 6.9% share on Rete 4, attracting between 460,000 and 550,000 viewers. Meanwhile, ‘Verità Nascoste – Il Diario’ reached 1.22 million viewers with a 16.7% share, though it was surpassed in direct afternoon competition by Rai 1’s ‘Vita in Diretta’. Infante’s initial broadcasts have focused on crime news, including the arrest of rapper Tony Boy and coverage of the Garlasco murder case. In the latter, discussions addressed an official complaint from the Cappa family alleging coordinated media exposure intended to protect the innocence of Alberto Stasi. On 27 August, the legal fallout from the Garlasco coverage intensified when Infante announced he would decline legal protection from Mediaset regarding a complaint filed against him by Stefania Cappa, the cousin of Chiara Poggi. The lawsuit stems from a 25 August broadcast of ‘Verità Nascoste – Il Diario’ in which Infante displayed a legal document related to the Poggi case. Infante faces accusations of receiving stolen goods (‘ricettazione’). Despite support from Mediaset’s information director, Mauro Crippa, Infante stated he prefers to handle the matter personally, appointing his wife, criminal defense lawyer Sara Venturi, to represent him.
