MINI has introduced several limited-edition vehicle models across different global markets. In the United States, the company launched the 1998 GT Edition as part of its Icon Drops series. Based on the Cooper C, this model draws inspiration from the classic 1969 Mini 1275 GT. It features a 1,998cc engine, a black body kit with orange accents, 17-inch wheels, and branding stickers. The interior includes synthetic leather upholstery with vintage-style stitching, a John Cooper Works (JCW) steering wheel, and branded accessories. While the engine remains unchanged, the vehicle utilizes brakes and suspension components designed by the JCW division to enhance handling. Simultaneously, MINI Malaysia released the Cooper S Oxford Edition, a highly exclusive run of six units designed to commemorate 25 years of production at Plant Oxford. Expanding its special editions to Singapore, MINI Asia debuted the Paul Smith Edition, starting with the all-electric MINI Cooper SE. This collaboration incorporates designer Paul Smith’s “classic with a twist” philosophy, utilizing unique colors like Statement Grey and interior details such as hand-drawn rabbits. This launch follows previous brand collaborations and is expected to expand to additional MINI models in the future. The Paul Smith collaboration has since expanded to Colombia through official importer Autogermana. This edition features a 9.4-inch OLED interaction unit with exclusive digital wallpapers by the artist, colorful steering wheel stripes, and knit fabric inserts. Available in Inspired White, Statement Grey, and Midnight Black with Nottingham Green accents, the edition includes both a 100% electric MINI BEV SE and a gasoline-powered MINI Cabrio Cooper S. In Japan, BMW has launched the MINI Sloane Street Edition, inspired by London’s luxury fashion district.
