Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026

The Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 competition concluded on October 2 in Hải Phòng, with Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh being crowned the winner. Previously the 1st Runner-up of Miss Universe 2024, the 27-year-old model and actress—who is also a former Supermodel Asia winner—secured the title after competing against 28 to 30 other candidates. She is expected to represent Vietnam at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.

The runners-up in the competition were Trịnh Mỹ Anh (1st runner-up), Emma Maria Fernandez Le (2nd runner-up), Nguyễn Diệu Huyền/rapper Phao (3rd runner-up), and Trịnh Thị Hồng Đăng (4th runner-up). The pageant also marked the end of Nguyễn Cao Kỳ Duyên’s term as the reigning beauty queen.

Following her victory, Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh requested permission to return to Hanoi to attend to a family bereavement following the passing of her grandmother. She stated her commitment to fulfilling her duties as the new titleholder once her family obligations are completed and she returns to Hải Phòng to work with the top finalists. Additionally, the event drew social media attention regarding her relationship with TikToker Neyun.

Concurrently, the Miss Earth organization announced that Trịnh Mỹ Anh has had her Miss Earth Water 2025 title revoked. Nathalie Briones from Chile has been appointed as her replacement. The revocation follows Mỹ Anh’s decision to compete in the Miss Universe Vietnam pageant while still holding her international title.

The pageant results have sparked online debate, specifically regarding Quỳnh Anh’s interview performance. During the final round, she proposed using her platform to host catwalk workshops to empower vulnerable women and children, a suggestion some critics labeled as “impractical”. Additionally, the event drew significant social media attention to MC Khánh Vy due to her presence on stage.
