An 11-year-old boy who disappeared from the Frontera Verde sector of Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, has been located safe in Brazil. The child had gone missing following a disagreement with his mother. After reports placed him in Ponta Porã, Brazil, where he was seen with an adult pushing a motorcycle, the Brazilian Military Police found him at a settlement in Itá Maratí, roughly 50 kilometers from the border. Reports suggested the child had been working in the area. Following his discovery, Brazilian authorities convinced the minor to return and handed him over to the Paraguayan National Police. After undergoing a medical inspection ordered by the Public Ministry, the boy was reunited with his mother. Local residents noted that the child had previously left home due to alleged mistreatment by his parent. In a broader context, the National Police of Paraguay reported that 111 minors are currently missing in the country. Commissioner Ramón Vera stated this figure includes 28 children aged 0 to 13 and 83 adolescents aged 14 to 17. Authorities noted that many cases involving adolescents are voluntary departures driven by rebellion or domestic conflicts, emphasizing that parental responsibility plays a significant role in these situations.
