Recent reports from Brazil detail the outcomes of several missing persons cases. In Natal, a federal public servant named Mikael was found dead in the Ponta Negra region after being missing since October 23. In Belém, a man named Michael was located in Icoaraci following an eight day disappearance triggered by a family disagreement. In a separate incident in Terenos, the body of 38 year old Isabel Cristina Freitas de Souza was discovered near a stream on Tuesday. She had been missing since October 24 after leaving her home for a musical event in Campo Grande. Family reports indicate she was accompanied by an unknown man on the night she disappeared. Her last contact with her sister involved a request for a Pix money transfer, after which her phone was turned off. Civil Police are investigating the death as a potential feminicide. In São Paulo, authorities arrested 41 year old businessman Eric Conrado Alves de Almeida, the primary suspect in the deaths of his former partner, lawyer Anna Gabriela Faria Lima, 29, and her 6 year old son, Raphael Faria Lima Ferrari. The victims were discovered in an apartment in Cotia on Tuesday night. November 3. Investigators believe the victims were drugged before dying of asphyxiation. The investigation case is being treated as feminicide and vicaricide. Almeida was located in the Jaguaré district on Wednesday night. Reports indicate the suspect had contacted a law firm in Campinas to confess to the killings and provide the location of the bodies. Evidence suggests the suspect attempted to conceal the crime by cleaning the apartment and using incense to mask the odor of the bodies. Security footage showed the suspect entering the victims' condominium with them on Sunday and leaving alone early Monday morning. Almeida had previously been the subject of domestic violence reports and was considered a flight risk. Authorities had requested that Interpol include him on its Red Notice list because he possessed both Brazilian and Portuguese passports.
