Indian consumer electronics brand Mivi has announced its expansion from audio products into the smartphone market. Initial reports indicated the company would launch its first 5G device in September, with technical leaks suggesting the handset, identified as ‘Mivi MVNOE’, would utilize a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and run on Android. Following these reports, Mivi confirmed the launch of the ‘Mivi One 5G’, scheduled for September 24 24, 2026, in India. The device is expected to be sold exclusively via Flipkart. While specific pricing remains undisclosed, the phone is rumored to offer 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and run Android 16. Design previews suggest a modern aesthetic featuring a thin body, a vertical dual-camera setup, and a flat back panel. Available color options are expected to include Green, Burgundy, and Blue. Co-Founder Viswanadh Kandula described the expansion as a “natural progression” of the company’s strategy to develop domestic hardware infrastructure and consumer technology within India.
