Mixto football club 2027 season preparations

Overview

The Brazilian football club Mixto has begun preparations for the 2027 season. The club first announced the appointment of 64-year-old Roberto Fonseca as head coach, a move intended to help the team defend its Campeonato Mato-grossense title. Fonseca, who has managed clubs such as Cuiabá, Guarani, and Paysandu, aims to secure a second consecutive state championship and a 26th overall trophy.

Following the coaching appointment, the club has moved to bolster its roster through several new signings. Recent additions include midfielder Henrique Neko, attacker Reny Max, and attacker Brito. These reinforcements join previous signings such as Natan Bahia, Cristiano Robert, and Yan Cristian.

In further squad expansion, the club announced the signing of midfielders Tenner and Marcelo Gama, alongside forward Zé Artur. Tenner joins from Linense-SP, Marcelo Gama arrives from Porto Vitória-ES, and Zé Artur joins from Valeriodoce-MG. Most of these new players have signed contracts through the conclusion of the Série D competition. The team is preparing for a demanding schedule involving the Campeonato Mato-grossense, Copa do Brasil, Copa Centro-Oeste, and the Brazilian Série D, with pre-season training scheduled to begin in December.
