Molve Municipality celebrates Municipality Day Religious and Velika Go community celebrations in the Balkans
Religious and community festivities have been observed across Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. In late July, the Croatian locality of Velika Mlaka held its annual Village Day and the feast of Saint Anne. The event included handicrafts, workshops, a futsal tournament, and a mass at the chapel of Saint Barbara to honor fallen defenders. In August, celebrations expanded to mark the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In Croatia, Marian shrines such as Krasno and Aljmaš prepared programs involving processions and masses, while municipalities like Skrad and Brinje combined religious events with music and gastronomy. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Crkvica parish in Zenica marked its 150th anniversary with a mass led by Archbishop Tomo Vukšić. In Serbia, the Orthodox tradition for the feast on August 28th involves specific fasting rules.
