In early July Monza began its Serie A campaign with routine medical examinations and a televised season preview. By month‑end newly appointed head coach Ivan Juric outlined a youth‑centric project, confirming forward Keita Baldé would not feature, announcing the loan of 19‑year‑old midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro from Inter (option to buy) and targeting centre‑back Filippo Terracciano, while highlighting midfielder Matteo Pessina.

On 3 August the club finalised its roster for the opening match against Inter on 22 August, favouring a 3‑4‑2‑1 system with wide players and attacking midfielders. New arrivals included Akinsanmiro, defender Varela, winger Ricardo Mangas and goalkeeper Demba Thiam as first‑choice keeper; the club continued to search for an experienced backup.

CEO Mauro Baldissoni reiterated a budget‑driven strategy centred on promising youngsters such as Akinsanmiro, Varela and Mangas, while supporters expressed concern over the lack of seasoned Serie A defenders and a proven top‑level goalkeeper. As of 3 August the squad remained in the market for experienced defensive and goal‑keeping signings ahead of its Serie A debut, and veteran forward Patrick Cutrone was identified as a key option. The overall approach combines youth development with the aim of securing Serie A survival.
