In late August, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development introduced requirements for new fuel stations, mandating that project holders incorporate renewable energy sources, such as solar power, during the design phase. These regulations also establish unified rules for distances between stations to ensure consistency and support the infrastructure needs of electric and hybrid vehicles. Following these sector-specific ~~regulations,~~ measures, the government unveiled a draft bill in mid-September to establish a national carbon market. This proposed legislation aims to create a legal architecture for climate action and a ‘National Carbon Market Registry’ to track greenhouse gas emission-reduction projects.
