Moroccan international players are positioning themselves for a return to the national team following strong performances at their respective clubs. Reda Belahyane has become a key figure for Lazio, while Amine Harit is seeking a recall following form with Marseille. Youssef En-Nesyri has also drawn attention due to his scoring record with Al-Ittihad. Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi is reportedly considering recalling Youssef En-Nesyri for the November international camp as the Atlas Lions prepare for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Niger. The coach is looking to move away from a ‘false nine’ tactical approach in favor of a conventional center-forward. En-Nesyri, currently playing for Al-Ittihad, has demonstrated strong form this season with seven goals in 13 appearances. Squad selection remains complicated by the uncertain fitness of Soufiane Rahimi Rahimi, who recently suffered an injury, and the coach’s continued preference to exclude Ayoub El Kaabi.
