Motörhead has announced a 40th anniversary edition of their 1986 album, ‘Orgasmatron’, scheduled for release in on November 2026 6, 2026, via BMG. The reissue features a new remix and remaster by longtime collaborator Cameron Webb, created from the original multi-track stems. In addition to the new mix, the collection includes the original studio recordings, which have been remastered and cut at half-speed from the original tapes. The release aims to address historical discussions regarding the album's production; while the original Bill Laswell production was considered unique, band members Lemmy and Phil Campbell previously felt that some of the record's “power and energy were lost in the final delivery.” As part of the rollout, the band has released an animated lyric video for the second single from the reissue, single, ‘Built For Speed’. Regarding the new mix, Webb stated his intention was to respect the original work of producer Bill Laswell and engineer Jason Corsaro rather than creating a modern heavy metal sound, aiming to reveal more internal details of the recordings while honoring the legacy of Lemmy Kilmister and Phil Campbell. Specific formats for the release include a deluxe 3LP bookpack, a 2CD edition, and a single transparent violet vinyl pressing. Bonus content includes 1985 studio rehearsal recordings, outtakes, and the complete 1986 BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session. The original album featured the lineup of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel, and Pete Gill.
