Mouser Electronics has introduced new technical resources and educational initiatives focused on emerging technologies. The company launched a series titled ‘A Quantum Leap in Computer Processing’ to examine quantum computing, specifically addressing how advancements in qubit development and error correction may enable practical applications in fields like cryptography and drug development. Additionally, Mouser launched a digital resource centre for consumer technology. This platform provides engineers with reference designs and guidance for developing interconnected and intelligent devices, covering topics such as AI-driven ambient systems, power management, and USB Type-C charging. The centre includes the ‘Empowering Innovation Together’ (EIT) series, which focuses on ‘Engineering AI for Daily Life.’ This series examines real-world applications of AI in consumer products, such as health-focused wearables, voice assistants, and AI-enabled travel tools. The resource hub also addresses human-machine interfaces (HMIs), noting a growing demand for advanced touch and voice controls alongside tactile physical buttons for distraction-free interaction. To support these developments, the centre provides access to technical articles, blogs, and eBooks, while Mouser continues to supply semiconductors and electronic components, such as the LSM6DSV3 6-axis inertial measurement unit from STMicroelectronics. Mouser has further expanded its hardware offerings by introducing new development kits from Espressif Systems and Nordic Semiconductor to support AI, edge computing, and wireless connectivity. Espressif’s ESP32-P4X-EYE vision development kit is designed for smart surveillance and IoT edge computing, featuring a RISC-V processor and integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE. Nordic Semiconductor solutions now include the nRF54L15 for BLE prototyping, the nRF54LM20-DK—which utilizes an Axon Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for Edge AI applications like biometric tracking—and the nRF9151 SMA kit for cellular and satellite connectivity testing.
