MSC Cruises has finalized its fleet restructuring for the Winter 2027–28 season, focusing on the Western Mediterranean, the Southern Caribbean, the Canary Islands, and South Africa. This follows decisions to reroute the fleet away from the Middle East due to “geopolitical instability.” Under the updated deployment, the MSC World Europa will remain in the Western Mediterranean, operating seven-night itineraries through ports such as Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina, and Valletta. Conversely, the MSC World Asia will be deployed to the Southern Caribbean for the 2027–28 season, offering seven- and 14-night cruises from Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Barbados to destinations including Saint Lucia, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. As the company prepares for South American itineraries, renovations on the MSC Musica at the Palumbo Malta Shipyard have been completed, including the introduction of the MSC Yacht Club. For the MSC World Asia, the company has detailed extensive amenities and entertainment. The vessel will feature the 1,260 square meter MSC Aurea Spa, equipped with AI-driven skin analysis and thermal experiences. Onboard dining and social spaces include over 40 venues, such as the Pan Asian Street Food concept, the 1980s-inspired Clubhouse & Soda Bar, and the Sky Box Bar. The ship’s Mediterranean debut is set for December 4, 2026, featuring a theatrical program including ‘La NoTte’, ‘Sensoria’, and ‘Ritmo Divino’, alongside the ‘Hall of Fame’ tribute and ‘Sunset Symphonic’ in the Panorama Lounge. Expanding its specialized service offerings, MSC Crociere has announced a partnership to host the renowned Italian restaurant Eataly aboard the MSC World Asia. Starting December 6, 2026, the vessel will offer Mediterranean itineraries departing from Genoa, marking the second time Eataly will be featured on an MSC vessel.
