MSC Cruises has finalized restructuring for its Winter 2027–28 season, shifting focus toward the Western Mediterranean and the Southern Caribbean. This adjustment follows previous decisions to reroute the fleet away from the Middle East due to “geopolitical instability.” The MSC World Europa will remain in the Western Mediterranean, conducting seven-night itineraries that include stops in Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia, Messina, and Valletta. In a significant deployment shift, the flagship MSC World Asia will instead serve the Southern Caribbean for the 2027/28 season. The vessel will operate seven- and 14-night cruises departing from Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre, and Bridgetown, visiting destinations such as Saint Lucia, Grenada, St. Maarten, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dominica, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Regarding amenities, the MSC World Asia will feature the 1,260m² MSC Aurea Spa starting December 4, 2026, incorporating AI-driven skin and scalp analysis, 3D foot scanning, and thermal experiences like a panoramic sauna and snow rooms. The company also continues to promote its MSC Yacht Club, which offers exclusive ‘ship-within-a-ship’ services. For the preceding Winter 2026/27 season, MSC Cruises has announced a program featuring 168 destinations across 72 countries. The MSC World Asia is scheduled to begin regular Mediterranean operations in early December 2026 following a November christening. This flagship, described as a “city at sea,” will feature over 40 bars, lounges, and restaurants, an 81.3-meter dry slide, and “The Harbour,” an outdoor destination featuring a 50-meter over-water swing ride called Cliffhanger. Additionally, New details regarding the MSC Preziosa will offer weekly cruises from Hamburg to target seasonal Christmas markets in Northern Europe. World Asia’s beverage offerings include five specific bar and lounge concepts.
