Municipal truck parking implementation in Olavarría

Overview

The Municipality of Olavarría has launched the Sierras Bayas Municipal Truck Parking Lot, a facility featuring 80 spaces designed to organize heavy transport in the area. Operating 24 hours a day, the site offers various usage modes, including stays of up to 12 hours, up to 24 hours, and monthly subscriptions.

Established under Ordinance No. 5900/26, the new regulations aim to improve road safety, reduce noise pollution, prevent street deterioration, and clear public spaces in the urban center. The initiative addresses long-standing requests from local residents to better manage the coexistence between industrial activity and daily life.

Authorities have announced that fines for parking trucks outside the designated municipal lot will begin to be enforced on November 1. The Secretariat of Economic and Productive Development is currently conducting awareness campaigns to inform transporters, companies, and residents about the new circulation circuits and parking rules.
