Musical and audio exhibitions in Tokyo

Overview

Two major music-related exhibitions are scheduled for late October and early November 2026 in Tokyo.

The Tokyo Gakki Expo 2026 is set for October 31 and November 1 at the Science Museum in Kitanomaru Park. Now in its fourth year, the festival will feature an expanded range of musical instrument categories, including drums, guitars, synthesizers, and orchestral instruments. Participating brands include Yamaha, Roland, Pearl, Zildjian, and DW. The event will include live performances, workshops, and a new “instrument gacha” feature.

Separately, the Tokyo International Audio Show (TIAS) takes place from October 23 to 25 at the Tokyo International Forum. The event focuses on high-end audio technology, showcasing products such as FINK team ‘SPOT’ speakers, amplifiers, and DACs. Exhibitors include Takt Stock, which will present CANOR AUDIO amplifiers and DACs, as well as analog playback equipment from VERTERE and network devices from EDISCREATION.

During the show, DALI CEO Lars Wouwer is introducing the new SONIK series, which ranges from SONIK 1 bookshelf speakers to SONIK 9 floorstanding models. Other notable displays include the TAD-A1000D integrated amplifier, Sonus Faber’s Olympica G3 series, and the Japanese debut of Serblin & Son’s Frankie series. The event also features lectures from industry representatives and artist signing sessions with musicians such as MAYA, Hiroko Williams, Kanae Izutsu, and jazz drummer Akira Matsuo.
