The city of Natal is preparing for several musical and community events scheduled for late 2026. The 28th edition of the MADA Festival (Música Alimento da Alma) is set to take place at the Arena das Dunas on October 16 and 17. The festival features a diverse lineup of Brazilian artists, including Zeca Pagodinho, Marina Sena, Emicida, BaianaSystem, Gaby Amarantos, and Tribo de Jah, covering genres such as rap, samba, reggae, and pop. The MADA Festival concluded on October 17, attracting approximately 40,000 attendees to the Arena das Dunas. The two-day event featured over 30 musical acts and was broadcast via TV Globo, Inter TV, and Globoplay. Organizers noted the festival generated roughly 1,300 direct and indirect jobs, impacting tourism, hospitality, transportation, and food services while strengthening the local creative economy. Other local events include the ‘Festinha Potiguar’ children’s music event at Teatro Riachuelo on October 18, and the inaugural Natal Pet Family event at the Arena das Dunas on November 1. The latter will feature live music, recreational activities, and an animal adoption fair in partnership with Instituto Hope. Expanding the cultural calendar at the Arena das Dunas, the inaugural ‘Encanto dos Mares’ event is scheduled for November 21, 2026, at the venue’s rooftop. This event will focus on the gastronomy and culture of Rio Grande do Norte, offering the city’s first seafood open food experience, culinary workshops, and local musical attractions.
