The Chilean music scene has seen activity involving both international performers and domestic metal bands. International acts including the Japanese quartet toe and the power metal band Helloween have performed or scheduled performances in Chile. toe returned to the country for a sold-out show featuring music from their 2024 album, ‘Now I see The Light’, while Helloween scheduled a performance in Santiago to mark their 40th anniversary. Concurrently, Chilean metal bands are returning from international ~~engagements.~~ engagements or preparing for new domestic milestones. The Death/Black Metal group Infernal Thorns completed a two-week tour in Mexico, which included eight performances in cities such as Querétaro, Guadalajara, Mexico City, and León, as well as participating in the Candelabrum Metal Fest pre-party. Progressive metal band Intrascendence has scheduled a special event at Sala SCD Plaza Egaña on October 9, titled ‘Beyond The Stage: Behind the Scenes + Live Show’. The event will feature an interactive panel with band members Felipe Reyes, Manuel Arriaza, Rodrigo del Canto, and Omar Alvear to discuss their recent European tour ~~alongside~~ and creative processes, followed by a live performance. Additionally, the thrash punk trio Evasor is set to compete in the first heat of the Wacken Metal Battle Chile on October 3 at Espacio 414 in Temuco. The competition seeks to select a Chilean representative for the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany.
