Throughout October 2026, various musical events are scheduled across Italy, ranging from classical and contemporary orchestral programs to sacred music performances. In Matera, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Matera is set to feature oboe soloist Luca Vignali. Other regional performances include Baroque chamber music in Palermo, an opening season performance by the Orchestra dell’Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Catanzaro, and a Russian music concert in Molfetta. Sacred music events include an organ recital in Borsano at the parish church of Santi Pietro e Paolo, where organist Marco Ruggeri will perform works by Claude Balbastre, Amilcare Ponchielli, Johannes Brahms, and Saverio Mercadante. In Pordenone, the Coro Polifonico di Ruda will debut ‘Genesi’ at the Duomo di San Marco as part of the 35th Autumn International Sacred Music Festival. Themed ‘Faith and Heresy,’ the production is inspired by the UNESCO heritage cities of Aquileia, Cividale, and Palmanova, incorporating biblical texts and liturgical writings while serving as a civil commitment against gender-based violence. Late October programming includes ‘La musica che racconta l’uomo’ in Annone Brianza on October 24, featuring works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Giuseppe Verdi. In the Brianza region, the XXIII edition of Brianza Classica features Spanish pianists Pedro Valero and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez performing piano works in Brugherio on October 24, followed by a performance honoring William Shakespeare and Henry Purcell in Monza on October 25. Other scheduled events include a Baroque concert at Villa Sormani in Mariano Comense on October 24, a folk music concert by Coro La Gerla in Carmagnola on October 24, and the Aeris Quartet performing Mozart at Palazzo Nicolaci in Noto on October 25. Additional late October events include the musical ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Compagnia ‘Tutto Esaurito’ at the Ambasciatori stage in Catania on October 24 and 25, directed by Fausto Monteforte.
