My Chemical Romance is marking the 20th anniversary of their album ‘The Black Parade’ through a theatrical tour and a new expanded reissue. The ‘The Black Parade 2026’ tour features highly produced performances, such as a sold-out show at Citi Field that utilized pyrotechnics, LED screens, and a narrative set within a maximum-security prison. The tour reimagines the album’s rock opera within a fictional authoritarian world called Draag, employing brutalist stage designs and characters like ‘His Grand Immortal Dictator’ to explore themes of political struggle. To coincide with these performances, the band announced an expanded reissue of the album via Reprise Records, scheduled for release on October 23. This reissue will include the original tracklist, six bonus tracks—comprising three B-sides, including the unreleased ‘Someone Out There Loves You’, and three live recordings from 2007—and reimagined cover art by James Jean. To celebrate the announcement, the band released ‘The Sharpest Lives (Live from Hoboken)’ on streaming services.
