The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued updates regarding examination results and future scheduling in India. Following the release conclusion of the CSIR UGC NET June 2026 results, which determine eligibility session, the agency has released e-certificates for Assistant Professor positions successful candidates. The June cycle involved a Computer Based Test held between June 22 and July 5, with a retest conducted on September 9–10, 2026. Of the 196,491 registered candidates, 120,355 appeared for the exam. Results announced on September 17, 2026, indicated that 824 candidates qualified for the Junior Research Fellowships, Fellowship (JRF), 11,610 for Assistant Professor positions, and 23,154 for PhD programs. Additionally, the agency NTA published a tentative examination calendar for the 2026-27 cycle. This schedule covers cycle, covering major national-level entrance and eligibility tests from December 2026 through March 2027. Key dates in the tentative schedule include the UGC NET (December cycle) from December 14–19 and the Joint CSIR-UGC NET on December 20–21. In early 2027, the NIFT entrance exam is proposed for January 10, followed by JEE Main Session 1, which is slated for January 22–24 and January 28–30, with January 31 acting as a buffer date. Other scheduled assessments include the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) on February 7 and the Common University Entrance Test (Post-Graduate) (CUET PG) in March 2027. The NTA noted that all dates are tentative and subject to change due to “administrative, academic, or logistical circumstances.” The calendar also includes dates for the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) exam, SWAYAM, and the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).
