Overview
The Government of Navarre has moved forward with fiscal planning and regional development initiatives for the upcoming years.
In late September, the Parliament of Navarre approved a draft budget for the 2027 fiscal year totaling 17,694,577 euros, a 5% increase over the 2026 budget. This approval included support from PSN, EH Bildu, Geroa Bai, and Contigo-Zurekin. Alongside the budget, the government established the 2027 labor holiday calendar, which includes 13 paid holidays.
By early October, updated reports indicated a preliminary draft of the 2027 budget totaling 6,850.6 million euros, representing an 8.1% increase from the previous year. This draft includes over 22 million euros for protected housing acquisitions. Furthermore, the government announced the allocation of approximately 5 million euros from Next Generation EU funds to support the Tourism Sustainability Plan (PSTD) in the Navarrese Pyrenees, focusing on infrastructure, digitalization, and sustainable mobility.
