The No. 1 ranked Nebraska volleyball team continues its strong start to the 2026 season. Following a sweep of No. 2 Texas and a sold-out matchup against South Dakota State, Nebraska traveled to Chicago, where they defeated DePaul in a sweep (25-19, 25-13, 25-15). The match at Wintrust Arena drew 8,786 spectators, setting a new attendance record for a volleyball match in Illinois. During the match, coach Dani Busboom Kelly utilized a deep rotation, including the first career start for sophomore Kenna Cogill, while Andi Jackson sat out as a precaution for a rolled ankle. Nebraska maintained its momentum with a series of high-profile matchups. The team hosted No. 20 Creighton at Pinnacle Bank Arena, a rivalry between two programs that both reached the Elite Eight last season. While Nebraska has won all 24 previous meetings between the two programs, recent encounters have been competitive, with three of the last four matches requiring a fifth set. Nebraska has now extended its perfect record to 10-0 following a 3-1 victory over FGCU. The Huskers displayed defensive dominance during the match, recording a 16-4 advantage in blocks and achieving a season-best scoring run of 12 consecutive points in the first set. Teraya Sigler led the offense with 13 kills.
