AS Roma midfielder Neil El Aynaoui has transitioned from focusing on his club role to becoming a significant subject of transfer speculation. Following his participation in the World Cup with the Morocco national team, El Aynaoui returned to AS Roma training in Wales, expressing ambition to secure a regular role under coach Gian Piero Gasperini to help the club reach the Champions League. He noted that playing for Morocco provided him with extra energy, stating that playing for his country means “you almost don't feel the fatigue.” By late August, the midfielder emerged as a primary transfer target for several clubs.
