Netflix has announced the release of a political crime thriller directed by, co-written by, and starring Ben Affleck. The film, titled ‘Animals’ or ‘Sobrevivência’ (Survival), is scheduled to premiere on October 9, 2026. Set in Los Angeles, the plot centers on a mayoral candidate and his wife, played by Affleck and Kerry Washington, who must navigate a web of lies and intense time pressure to secure ransom money after their son is kidnapped.
