The Netflix reality series ‘Love Joto’ (also known as ‘Furyo Ichizoku Sagai 2’), which follows the romantic lives and personal growth of individuals within the ‘yankee’ subculture, has seen significant viewership success. The second season has ranked first in Japan’s weekly top 10 and entered the global non-English top 10. Initial attention for the second season focused on new cast members, including rapper Reo Kanshuji (RUNE999). Kanshuji’s visual transformation and family connections sparked social media discussion, while the show itself faced debate regarding the potential glamorization of tattoos and criminal backgrounds. As the season progressed, ONE OK ROCK vocalist Taka was announced as a guest MC for episodes 13 through 16. Taka, replacing hip-hop artist Awich, was brought in to provide an ‘older brother perspective’ on the participants' interactions during a 14-day communal living phase. This new phase also features the return of Tai-chan, a participant from the first season, acting as a ‘repeater’ to continue his journey. The episodes are set to a remix of the song ‘Body & Soul’ by the group SPEED.
