Neuquén Governor Rolando Figueroa has implemented several provincial administration initiatives focused on public services and infrastructure. In late July, the administration prioritized education through the expansion of the Instituto Superior de Formación Docente (IFD) N° 14 in Cutral Co. The governor reported plans to construct 100,000 m² of new school facilities and noted progress in replacing trailer classrooms with permanent structures. By late August, the administration shifted focus to public sector compensation. Under Decree 1195, Governor Figueroa established a salary recomposition plan for the Neuquén Provincial Police to combat inflation. This plan utilizes a weighted index of local and national Consumer Price Indices (IPC) to adjust wages. Specific targets for the police force include an entry-level net salary of 1,934,452 pesos, with scheduled increases intended to reach 2,333,972 pesos by January 2027. The compensation scheme also incorporates extraordinary non-remunerative payments totaling 890,000 pesos.
