The province of Neuquén has implemented several initiatives focused on physical education and athletic development. In late October, the city of Neuquén announced it would host the Second Provincial Congress of Physical Education. This event, organized by the Ministry and the Provincial Council of Education, focuses on topics such as gender and sexuality in sports, inclusive teaching, and risk prevention. Following this, the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Culture launched the 2027 Sports Scholarship Program. This initiative provides financial, technical, and medical support to medium and high-performance athletes from the province who are members of Argentine national youth or senior selections in Olympic disciplines. As of November 2026, the Ministry is accepting applications for this program, with a deadline of November 30 for the submission of digital documentation.
