New Balance has introduced two new high-performance running shoe models: the SuperComp Elite v6 and the SuperComp Rebel. The SuperComp Elite v6 is a flagship racing shoe optimized for marathon performance. Developed with input from professional athletes such as Alex Yee and Emily Sisson, the model features a redesigned carbon fiber plate and a transition from FuelCell PEBA to a new Infinion foam platform. This version is approximately 14g lighter and stiffer than the previous Elite v5. The Elite v6 is expected to be available in markets starting in August, with retail pricing estimated around 280 euros. The SuperComp Rebel v1 is designed as a high-tech training shoe intended for daily fast training and tempo runs. It Functioning as a ‘supertrainer’, it aims to bridge the gap between the lightweight Rebel series and the high-performance SC Elite racing models. The shoe utilizes Infinion super-critical ATPU foam with a high stack height of 40 mm at the heel and 36 mm at the forefoot, creating a ~~Pebax~~ 4 mm drop. Rather than a full carbon plate, it employs an Energy Arc, carbon-infused plate ~~to offer~~ and a ~~more flexible feel than~~ pronounced rocker geometry to assist with momentum.
