New England collegiate sailing teams have commenced their fall seasons with various regatta results. Early competitions included the Harman Cup at Maine Maritime Academy, where Bowdoin College took first place, followed by Boston University in third and Tufts University in second. Tufts University’s performance qualified them for the New England Match Racing Championships. Other regional events saw success for Yale University, which placed fourth in the Harry H. Anderson Jr. Trophy and second in the Pine Trophy at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Brown University also performed strongly, winning both the Bears Invite and the Harvard Invitational. In subsequent competitions, Tufts University participated in the Hatch Brown Trophy at MIT, the New England Singlehanded Championships on Dorchester Bay, and the Mystic Lake Invite. During these events, the Hatch Brown regatta, the Tufts coed sailing team placed seventh in overall, with individual performances from Oliver Keeves, Reddin Kehrli, Crue Ziskind, and Patricia Winssinger. At the Hatch Brown regatta, while New England Singlehanded Championship, Devon Owen secured tenth place. More recently, Tufts University competed in the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1A hosted by Dartmouth College. Tufts held second place at overall among 18 teams with a score of 97, trailing only Stanford University. In the New England Singlehanded Championship. B division, Maddie Janzen and Sophie Dart led the division through eight races. Dartmouth College finished seventh overall in the championship regatta, recording seventh-place finishes in both the A and B divisions.
