New Generation Students 2026 program launch

Overview

The fourth season of the television program ‘Sinh vien the he moi 2026’ (New Generation Students) premiered on VTV3 on October 17. The competition focuses on Gen Z participants implementing real-world solutions for community issues such as environmental protection, cultural preservation, and agricultural output.

Former Ambassador Ton Nu Thi Ninh serves as an advisor to help students develop social responsibility and critical thinking. The program structure includes stages for revealing ideas, debating, fieldwork, and a grand finale.

Herbalife Vietnam has partnered with VTV3 for this season under the theme ‘Local Issues, Gen Z Solutions’. Alongside the program launch, Herbalife released its 2026 Asia-Pacific Healthy Living Culture Survey. In Vietnam, the survey indicated that 77% of Gen Z and 83% of Millennials are engaging in more frequent health-related activities than three years ago, with 79% of total Vietnamese respondents reporting healthier lifestyles.

During the premiere, hundreds of students from various universities in Northern Vietnam presented community-focused projects. To qualify for the Top 4 regional representatives, teams were evaluated on the authenticity of the problem, the feasibility of the solution, and the clarity of the impact. Notable projects included a smart public rest stop from Hanoi University of Architecture, human trafficking awareness from the Academy of Journalism and Communication, a rural retention project titled ‘Bun ngo’ from the Vietnam Women's Academy, and the ‘RELEAF’ environmental project from the Vietnam National University of Forestry. Judges, including Professor Nguyen Khanh Dieu Hong, noted the high potential and practical application of the ideas presented.
