Following an overtime win against the Wings on July 21, the Liberty’s season progressed toward the postseason. On August 16, Jonquel Jones recorded her third consecutive double-double, scoring a team-high 23 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to lead the Liberty to an 82-75 victory over the Connecticut Sun. On August 21, the team defeated the Indiana Fever 109-102 at the Barclays Center.
