Speculation regarding a potential trade for veteran pass rusher Khalil Mack has intensified as the November 10 NFL trade deadline approaches. Currently playing for the 0-5 Los Angeles Chargers, Mack is on a one-year, $18 million contract and lacks a no-trade clause, granting the Chargers significant leverage to act as sellers to acquire draft picks. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch has confirmed that tight end George Kittle inquired about the possibility of acquiring Mack to bolster a defensive front hampered by injuries, such as the absence of Nick Bosa. While Lynch noted he is actively communicating with league counterparts to assess the market, no formal trade has been initiated. Analysts have suggested a specific proposal involving the 49ers sending a 2027 conditional fourth-round pick to acquire the 35-year-old edge rusher.
