General Nicola Massimo Masciulli has transitioned from regional military command to a national anti-mafia leadership role. After concluding his tenure as head of the Ogaden Interregional Command, which oversaw Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Abruzzo, and Molise, Masciulli held a farewell ceremony at the Salvo D’Acquisto barracks in Naples. During his departure, he emphasized that despite evolving technologies, institutions ultimately “rely on the people within the Carabinieri.” Following his service in Naples, Masciulli officially assumed the position of Director of the Direzione Investigativa Antimafia (DIA) in Rome. A member of the Carabinieri, he brings extensive strategic and legal expertise to the role, holding a law degree from Sapienza University alongside advanced masters in strategic-military and strategic sciences.
