Romanian midfielder Nicolae Stanciu continues to drive success for Dalian Yingbo in China. He recently played a decisive role in advancing his team to the Chinese FA Cup semifinals following a 1-0 victory over Shanghai Shenhua. Despite Shanghai Shenhua playing with a numerical advantage after an early red card, Stanciu secured the win by converting a penalty in the 54th minute after his shot was blocked by a handball from Gao Tianyi. Stanciu was named Man of the Match and dedicated the victory to the fans. As his performance persists, transfer speculation has intensified. While Romanian clubs FCSB and U Cluj have previously expressed interest in bringing the player back to the SuperLiga, new interest has emerged from within China. Shandong Taishan, currently fifth in the league, is reportedly interested in offering the midfielder a contract. Stanciu, now 33, has recorded 10 goals and 4 assists in 24 matches this season. His current club, Dalian Yingbo, is also interested in extending his contract, which is scheduled to expire in July 2027.
