President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has repeatedly used personal birthday greetings as a platform to commend a wide range of Nigerians and to link individual achievements to national development goals. Starting in May, he honored retired Major General Adeniyi Tajudeen Olanrewaju, highlighting the veteran’s civil‑war service and early telecom reforms. In early June, Tinubu praised News Agency of Nigeria chief Ali Muhammad Ali for strengthening news gathering and curbing misinformation, and lauded Pastor William Kumuyi of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry for his global spiritual influence. The same month he recognized Chief Sade Ogunbiyi, Iyalode of Remoland, for her lifelong contributions to education and human development. June celebrations continued with Ahonsi Unuigbe, founder of Petralon Energy and NGX chairman, for advancing indigenous energy participation and market integrity, and with Tunji Bello, FCCPC chief, for protecting consumers and fostering competition. July saw Tinubu salute senior figures such as Senior Advocate Babatunde Ogala, former Governor Olusegun Osoba, and former governor Peter Obi, emphasizing legal integrity, press freedom and fiscal prudence. He also marked the birthdays of entrepreneur Segun Olulade, Minister of Works David Umahi, and industrialist Abdul Samad Rabiu, tying each tribute to infrastructure, youth empowerment, and industrial growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda. In August, Tinubu extended these honors to industrialist Abdul Samad Rabiu, chairman of BUA Group, describing him as an ‘architect of modern Nigerian industry’ for his role in expanding domestic production and food security. He also congratulated Senator Adeola Solomon Olamilekan, praising his legislative service and his contributions to national budget management and the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Additionally, Tinubu joined other leaders in celebrating former military President General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida on his 85th birthday, describing him as an outstanding leader whose administration left a lasting impact on Nigeria’s political, economic, and geographic landscape.
