Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reported extensive asset recoveries and ongoing enforcement actions aimed at stimulating economic growth and combating financial crime. Between October 2023 and June July 2026, the EFCC recovered significant sums, including N1.233 trillion, $684.48 million, £373,905, reported that asset recoveries exceeded N1 trillion. During this period, the agency investigated 39,615 cases, filed 14,476 court cases, and €9.34 million. secured 10,872 convictions. He noted that enforcement is often weakened by kidnappers political interference and other fraudsters. called for greater transparency regarding the management of recovered assets.
