Nigeria solar workforce training

In mid‑May through late June 2026, Kartel Energy Limited ran its 2026 Technical Masterclass across six Nigerian cities – Benin City, Kaduna, Kano, Abuja, Ibadan and Asaba. The free programme trained more than 1,000 solar installers, engineers, dealers and entrepreneurs, combining classroom instruction with live equipment demonstrations. The curriculum focused on high‑voltage solar systems, advanced inverter technology, safety standards and commercial opportunities for larger projects. CEO Ola Ogunsemowo said the initiative aims to close the skills gap, improve installation quality and boost confidence in solar as a viable alternative to the unreliable grid, thereby strengthening Nigeria’s renewable‑energy ecosystem.
