The 5 August bulletin projected thunderstorms and moderate rain for Wednesday‑Friday across most of the country, with strong winds ahead of the storms in several northern states. NiMet again advised residents to secure loose items, limit travel, and obtain airport‑specific weather updates, highlighting heightened flood risk during the peak rainy season. An outlook for 16–18 August predicted widespread cloudy conditions, thunderstorms, and moderate rainfall from Sunday through Tuesday. By late August, NiMet forecasted widespread thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds.
