Nintendo hardware and software availability
Overview
In early September 2026, various Nintendo hardware and software products became available for pre-order in the United States. Upcoming releases included the Switch 2 Orbitals and titles such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. By late September, the focus shifted toward digital availability and accessories. Nintendo Switch users in Italy saw discounts on several eShop titles, including Ys Origin and LIMBO. Concurrently, new accessories for both the Nintendo Switch and upcoming Switch 2 models appeared on Amazon, including DIY virtual reality kits, multi-function docks, and high-speed cooling bases. Italian eShop discounts expanded to include titles such as INSIDE, PEAK – The Adventure Begins, and Insurmountable, with several games priced under 2 €. By early October, promotional activity moved to Brazil, where the Nintendo eShop offered discounts of up to 90% on titles for both the original Switch and Switch 2, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Resident Evil Requiem, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Additionally, Amazon launched a flash sale on the Nintendo Switch 2 national model and its Pro Controller. The Switch 2 is noted for its 7.9-inch Full HD LCD screen with HDR10, 256 GB of internal storage, and a custom NVIDIA processor supporting DLSS, ray tracing, and 4K resolution at 60 fps on TVs. During the Amazon Prime Day sales in early October, significant discounts were applied to Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, software, and accessories in the United Kingdom and the United States. In the UK, the Switch 2 console reached a record low of £354.99, and retailers like Very offered discounted bundles such as the Switch 2 with Donkey Kong Bananza. By mid-October, Amazon in Germany began offering discounts on major Nintendo Switch 2 titles.
