Nintendo Switch Online retro game expansions

Overview

Nintendo has expanded its retro gaming library through the Nintendo Switch Online service. In August, the company released two previously unreleased 1996 Virtual Boy titles, ‘Zero Racers’ and ‘D-Hopper’, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 subscribers of the Expansion Pack tier.

Following this, Nintendo added three NES classics—‘Ninja Gaiden 3: The Ancient Ship of Doom’, ‘Ikari Warriors’, and ‘R. C. Pro-Am 2’—to the service. These titles are available to all standard Nintendo Switch Online members via the NES app. However, regional variations exist; for example, in Japan, the library includes Namco’s ‘Dragon Buster’ instead of the Rare racing title.
